How did you get started with bodybuilding?
I played sports since I was 4 years old: swimming, skating and dancing. But when I started High School, it was very difficult go to class always at the same time, so I started going to the gym, that it was always opened and it was when I was 16 years old that I started with weights.
It wasn’t until 2008 that I followed a diet and work out plan with aesthetics focus.
My first competition was in 2012.
Where does your motivation come from?
The motivation must come from something inside you.
It is true that when I meet my coach he encourages me a lot, but if there isn’t something inside you that burns, that pushes you to improve and be better than you were yesterday, this is not your sport.
What workout routine has worked best for you?
I love all of them. But this season I’m focus on hamstrings and glutes.
It is important to train from different angles so do different types of exercises, but because of the movement not just to create something new and funny.
I usually do 3 or 4 different exercises for hamstrings and 4 or 5 for glutes.
What is your diet like?
In off season I eat 6 times daily and try to eat at least 5 different types of carbs and proteins. And I also include good fats like Oil (olive, coconut and MCT) and nuts.
How does your training and diet evolve as you get closer to a competition?
My training is always the same, just include some cardio if needed and for diet I reduce carbs and fats gradually, depending on how my body acts.
What’s the one food you couldn’t live without and how do you handle food cravings?
Ohh, I really love and can’t live without Peanut Butter and Gladiator Bars from Olimp.
I try to be professional, and not abuse them, but in off season usually I eat a little everyday. I prefer to eat a little but everyday to handle my cravings than eat a lot one day.
What supplements do you use?
I use several supplements because I think they improve my results and help me with recovery.
They are: PH regulator, Vitamins and minerals, BCCS’s, Glutamine, Antiox, AAKG, High quality protein, Omega’s, Fat burners, CLA, Beta alanine, Free amino acids complex and on leg day a pre-workout on leg’s day.
