Michelle Lewin (born in 1986) is a Venezuelan fitness model and IFBB Bikini Pro, she is currently one of the hardest working and popular fitness models around with millions of social media followers.
Originally from Maracay, Michelle started her modelling career early, treading the catwalk in various fashion shows.
However, these early modelling gigs were not a good experience, and having been insulted by agencies in Milan, Rome and Barcelona she decided to take another route.
“They were plain mean. They saw the freckles on my chest and were disgusted with them and told me they had to be removed.”
Soon enough a friend of hers suggested a move into the fitness industry, where she competed at a NCP Bikini Competition. It wasn’t long before Michelle was approached by a photographer who offered her work as a fitness model alongside some of the biggest names in the business.
Originally a svelte 95 pounds, through hard work and a good diet, her body has been transformed, building a new frame of 120 pounds of lean muscle.
When it comes to training Michelle trains six days per week, twice daily.
“I do cardio in the morning for 45 minutes and weights every evening. I do all muscle groups once per week, but I focus mostly on glutes and abs, which I train twice a week.”
As for her diet she eats a clean one that consists of carbs for breakfast and lunch, with lean proteins and vegetables in the afternoon.
She does allow herself a day off from her strict diet, however.
“Every Sunday I eat whatever I want which is usually all the pizza and pasta I can get hold of!”
Michelle Lewin has also stated the importance of rest days, which are essential for muscle repair and subsequent growth.
“I really don’t like to take rest days, but I do once a week.”
Even though she has seemingly reached peak levels of fitness and popularity, Michelle still gets excited about changes to her body, they keep her motivation high and allows her to keep moving forward.
“There’s nothing more motivating than when you find a new vein! Am I crazy?”
