Is the Maximum Shred trial offer a scam?

Maximum Shred

Is it possible that taking a supplement could help you gain lean ripped muscle in just weeks? Well, that is the claim made by the Maximum Shred supplement.

Unfortunately despite this claim I have doubts regarding the efficiency of this product. For a start it came to my attention firstly through an advert on Facebook that led onto an advertorial featuring a number of Hollywood actors; including Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt.

Lets look at this supplement in more detail to discover whether its claims are accurate or whether like so many other supplements before it should be avoided.

Claimed benefits of Maximum Shred

Maximum Shred makes the following claims on its website:

  • Gain muscle the safe way
  • Get amazing results
  • Increase energy
  • Burn fat
  • Improve sexual performance

These claims sound impressive and should the ingredients be at a required standard then Maximum Shred will be highly recommended. However, we will first need to look at the ingredients used to make this supplement.

Ingredients found in Maximum Shred

Maximum Shred is said to contain both Carnosine and Beta-Alanine, which when combined should help boost your power, speed and endurance.

This supplement is also said to be free from toxins, sodium and other byproducts from creatinine.

This all sounds good so far as this supplement when used alongside a healthy diet full of protein and regular sessions in the gym should help you achieve the gains you are looking for.

Price of Maximum Shred

Despite making the claim that Maximum Shred is available as a free trial this is a lie. For a start the initial order will cost around £2.95, which I know is a negligible amount but what you may not be aware of is that this is not the end of the charges.

Upon reading the terms and conditions of this product (found at the very bottom of the website in a small font) I discovered that once the 14 day trial period has concluded you will be charged the full purchase price of £87.47, which is simply too high.

Also signing up for this offer means that you have also signed up for an auto ship program where if you fail to cancel your account within the trial period another package will be sent along with the bill.

These shipments will continue each month until your membership is cancelled.

Is Maximum Shred a scam?

Although the payment terms have been laid out, most people will not read them, instead they will be enticed into signing up for the “free trial”.

Unfortunately these same people will find to their cost how expensive this supplement really is. These same people will no doubt feel as though they have been scammed.

For this reason it is best that you always read the terms and conditions before you ever sign up for any offer, or to play it safe never sign up for any trial offers. The vast majority work in a similar fashion as Maximum Shred, so will leave you severely out of pocket.
