Marius Baika is an IFBB and UKBFF Men’s Physique Competitor and Fitness model. What inspires his training?
How did you get started with bodybuilding?
Well. I started with bodybuilding when I was 18 years old. The first reason that I started with bodybuilding is that I always liked to look good and to feel healthy, this then turned into a real passion.
Where does your motivation come from?
I always wanted to be the best in everything that I’m doing. My motivation comes from the love for this sport “bodybuilding“. And my dream to become Mr Olympia Physique.
What workout routine has worked best for you?
I always start my week with “leg day” and I do this twice a week. The first exercise I start with is calves.
The reason why is because it is my weak point and they will always be inferior to the quads and hamstring too.
What one exercise could you not live without?
Deadlift and squat.
What is the body part you are most proud of, and how did you get it to that stage?
Chest. I hit my chest from every angle.
What is your diet like?
My diet now is moderate-high protein, high carbs and moderate-low fats.
How does your training and diet evolve as you get closer to a competition?
Well. Still for training I will still be training hard, while adding cardio. About my diet, this will change to a high protein, low carbs with moderate to low fats.
What’s the one food you couldn’t live without and how do you handle food cravings?
I love to eat. I would say I couldn’t live without (Egg whites+Oats+crunchy peanut butter)
And sometimes 1-2 a week ice cream( off season) Ha ha.
About food cravings, I always stay focused to my goal.
What supplements do you use?
Whey isolate, Creatine, BCAA, multi-vitamins, fish oil, Liv 52, Beta-Alanine, L-citrulline, and Turmeric.
