Is the HGH XL trial offer an auto ship scam?

HGH XL

HGH or Human Growth Hormone, to give it its full name is naturally produced by your body, however not in the amounts needed to provide significant muscle and strength gains.

Luckily for you there are some supplements available that can be used to naturally boost the HGH levels, such as HGH XL (sometimes called Pure HGH) for example.

However, despite it’s promising claims due to its decision to market itself as a trial offer there are a growing number of complaints that HGH XL is a scam.

Claimed benefits of HGH XL

The following benefits have been claimed on the HGH XL website:

  • Build lean muscle
  • Increase your strength
  • Improve endurance

If HGH XL can indeed boost your natural HGH levels then these claimed benefits are certainly realistic. However, before we can verify them we would need to see whether this supplement contains ingredients that can boost these levels.

Ingredients found in HGH XL

HGH XL contains 900 mg of a proprietary blend of L-Arginine, L-Ornithine and Panax Notoginseng, so in theory this supplement should help to naturally boost your HGH levels.

This when combined with a protein rich diet and regular trips to the gym to lift weight should result in both muscle and strength gains.

Price of HGH XL

When you first view the HGH XL website you may find yourself feeling a little unclear about how much the supplement actually costs.

No doubt the reason for this is that the price has been hidden away in the terms and conditions, which are at the very bottom of the website in a small font.

Upon reading the T&Cs you will discover that the initial trial is not free but will cost £4.95, which is reasonable enough. However should you fail to cancel your account within 14 days of the initial trial you will then be charged an unbelievable £99.99, which is apparently “exclusively discounted”.

The biggest issue with this trial is that upon signing up you have also given permission to be sent further monthly packages, at £99.99 + £4.95 p&p every month thereafter.

These auto shipped packages will continue until you cancel your membership, which for some could mean losing hundreds of pounds to the company behind HGH XL.

Is HGH XL a scam?

HGH XL is certainly not a scam, it contains proven ingredients that are likely to benefit your own efforts.

However HGH XL is vastly overpriced and its use of auto shipping will no doubt lead to complaints that this supplement is a scam.

In my opinion there are other supplements available to buy online that can offer similar benefits at a fraction of the cost. Therefore I find it impossible to recommend HGH XL to anyone.

Alternative to HGH XL

Another supplement that has been shown to naturally boost HGH levels is HGH-X2 (available from Crazy Bulk).

This supplement costs around half as much as HGH XL with no need to sign up for any auto ship program.

This means you can buy it outright without having to worry about any additional charges being made to your account at a later date.

  1. I paid for a free trial not knowing that I believe they now try and collect monthly billing I have sent many emails cancelling before the so called 14 day trial period but get no reply from any of there email addresses be very carefully with this product

    • Hi,

Did you get anywhere with this company?

I received my trial and the other day my account was charged for £95…I have sent quite a few emails with no response. I have had any future payments blocked by the bank so hopefully I should have no more

      • I suffered the same problem as Graeme Hunter I am still trying to get my money back via my bank. I have also reported them to the Police Fraud Line. If everybody follows suit we may get some action against XL Muscle.

        • I have had a modest result from the 0800 number.
I have to say it was like pulling teeth.
At first They denied any knowledge of the product but at last they acknowledged it was their company who were selling the awful product.
          I requested a full refund.
I was offered half of my money back. I declined their offer.
There is a time when you have gone as far as you can. I reached that point when I was offered £84. I reluctantly took the offer. They said that if I had sent the goods back I would have to pay p & p. I argued that it was only £5 for p & p but they said that they would have to pay the return p & p. I knew that it was time to walk away from the table & count my losses. I will try to get the £10 back through my bank. I won’t hold my breath.

  2. Your website has been a life saver, thankyou so much, i think just to clear my mind i will also block the payments through the bank. Thankyou so much
    i used the 0800 number

  3. If you read the terms and conditions before agreeing to them you would have known after your trial, they charge you for the product and reship monthly.

  4. Yeah this is a fucking scam! I payed for my free trial and they took an extra £190 quid out of my account and I’ve received fuck all in the post, no emails whatsoever to tell me, and when I rang the number it just rings and rings and rings, complete bulshit, DO NOT BUY THE FREE TRIAL, I’ve contacted my bank and blocked all future payments, and I haven’t even tried the product because when the trial pot comes it looks completely unofficial and fake, any retard in a factory could make the packaging and put some crushed up paracetamol in a capsule. DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES unless you love to have your money pissed up the wall.

  5. I ordered my free trial, before becoming aware of all the negativity surrounding the product. Could anyone provide me with advice as regards cancelling my order, while I am still in the 14-day free trial period

  6. Hi I have ordered this product then I realised they will take money more money out after 3 trail. I cancelled my card so I have a whole new card number. Is that any good they will not be able to take money now will they.

  7. I be payed the trail shipping and tryed emailing them I ordered today do you really get the product or do they just take ypur money?

  8. Thiis company gave me the con tactics and the tablets did,’nt work. I got the free sample paid the shipping then they thhenn sneekily added me to a contract I was told I wouldn’t be added to but was then without warning they took 94.54 off me and tried to say I had to pay it every month after I told them I didn’t want to be entered into a contract but they diidd this anyway! I contacted them and their Manor was I signed in so tuff basically I couldn’t do anything aboutt it and iff I tried they would sue me!!!!! They say your entering into no contract then take money at a later date out of. Your account without my permission and say I agreed when I sent for the free sample whiich is a lie they told me I was’nt enteriing any contract then changed their mindds and stoole my money aannd blamed me so ttake my sdvice do not enter into even free samplees with them coz thy lie, Rob you!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I just ordered the High XL and after reading the poor reviews I immediately called the 0800 number spoke to a lady called alanna and cancelled my order. because you do get charge around £100 after 30 days.she confirmed that I would get my £4.95 back in my bank in 2 to 3 days time.

  10. Total rip off..!! I ordered the FREE trial, and paid the shipping cost. The crooks at this con company now keep trying to debit my bank account for £94 every month. I have blocked further payments at my bank , and reported the company to my banks card fraud department.

  11. This is an absolute joke, I thought 4.95 well ill give it a go for building myself up after a broken leg. Still got the broken leg so havent used any yet… just looked and nearly £200 quid has gone out! Wtf. Now its impossible to get in touch with them. Where is the link to cancel? Seen as they dont answer email or phone!

  12. I was really spooked to get a delivery of two bottles of pills this morning. ADDRESSED TO MY 12 YEAR OLD !!!!!

Don’t know where he got credit card details from and he clearly had no idea how much it was going to cost on a monthly basis.

However, the good news is that I did get through to Katie who cancelled the account with immediate effect (I have lost the 3.95 for shipping but I don’t know whose card that will come off because when I ran through the cancelling process with her she didn’t recognise the last 4 digits of any of the cards I gave her) So yes, a complete rip off, but you do see to be able to get through to them eventually.

The most concerning thing for me is the world we live in where a 12 year old boy thinks he can take some pills to give him muscles so that he can look fit for the girls – why is everybody so obsessed with what people look like? 🙁

  13. DO NO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SIGN UP FOR IT. I DID FOR THE FREE TRIAL AND BECAUSE I DIDNT CALL TO CANCEL IT THEY CHARGED ME £180( for the free trial bottles) AND I RECEIVED ANOTHER TWO BOTTLES IN THE POST TODAY AND CHARGED ANOTHER £180( because I didn’t cancel my membership). CALL AND CANCEL IT OTHERWISE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU EVERY MONTH!!!!!!!!!

Explained my situation and they stopped all future payments and refunded me 50% £47.47! Which they didn’t have to do! A lesson to be leant for me to read the small print! Hope this is helpful
